# MLP Tokenomics

### Supply & distribution

MLP has a fixed supply. Allocations include: Early Stage Investors, Marketing Costs, Ecosystem Fund (treasury), Project Launch Incentives (a discount pool for eligible launches), Team & Advisors, Investor & Referral Incentives, and Platform Operations & Liquidity (for MLP markets, not project LP). Unlocks are staggered to avoid single-point supply shocks. Team & Advisors vest on the same schedule as Early Stage Investors to align incentives across insiders and external backers.

### Utility

MLP’s utility is practical and visible in the product. It controls access tiers (allocation priority and caps), participates in governance (voting on platform proposals per the current model), and enables fee discounts for eligible actions. Because tiers read live wallet balances, the token remains liquid—there is no mandatory staking to qualify. Governance weight reflects holdings, with additional safeguards to discourage concentration as the system evolves.

### Ecosystem role

MLP sits at the center of Mosaic’s launch flow. Projects that align with MLP (for example, designating an MLP quote pair when they list externally) can qualify for increased launch discounts from the Project Launch Incentives pool, subject to caps and documented readiness (audit completed, token minted or migrated to Mosaic Chain). This approach avoids platform-owned LP while still rewarding good launch hygiene. Healthy MLP markets also matter: Platform Operations supports MLP/USDC and similar venues so users can easily enter tiers.

### Why this matters

Clear, predictable tokenomics let you forecast unlocks and understand who holds what and when. Aligning vesting across insiders and early investors reduces asymmetry and signals long-term commitment.
